Estoy llorando.

HELP: I’m at the #Caracas airport now and have been told I’m being deported immediately. They have not given me a reason but only said I’m being deported immediately. #venezuela

I was taken immediately upon entering the Caracas airport and no one is goving me a reason for the deportation. I’m being put on a plane to Paris and am now surrounded by guards. I’ve been given no papers, no reasons and I don’t have my things. #venezuela

I was supposed to spend Passover here in Caracas, have been looking forward to these days here in the country I love and now I’m being deported without cause. I’m crying, #venezuela

Military now escorting me on to the plane to Paris. Still no reason for my deportation. #venezuela

I’m now sitting on the plane, crying. They took my passport and I don’t know where my things are. Nor do I know if I’ll ever be able to come back to #Venezuela
All I was trying to do was show this country to the world, with love and honesty and passion and I was thrown out.— Annika H Rothstein (@truthandfiction) 18 de abril de 2019
I’m so angry and so sad. I have tried my utmost to show all sides of #Venezuela and often. Even criticized for interviewing *everyone* and staying away from advocacy and activism and now this government is deporting me, taking my passport and my things without even a reason. https://t.co/L0gj50MdgQ

I fell in love with #Venezuela several months ago and I’ve kept coming back because it was becoming a second home for me. My reporting has been transparent and fair, and this trip was meant to focus on me spending Passover in #Venezuela. Instead I was deported.
